Steve Hackman Joins the Roster

Opus 3 Artists is excited to welcome Composer, Conductor, and Producer Steve Hackman back to our roster for worldwide representation.

A creative force, Hackman is redefining 21st-century art music. Classically trained but equally skilled in popular styles, he is a composer, conductor, producer, DJ, arranger, songwriter, singer, and pianist. His work blends modernism with classical traditions.

Hackman’s orchestral fusions, like Brahms X Radiohead and The Resurrection Mixtape (Mahler X Notorious B.I.G. X Tupac), have been praised as “daring and innovative” by Seen and Heard International. These performances are bringing orchestral music to new audiences, with sold-out shows across major U.S. orchestras, including Philadelphia, San Francisco, Dallas, Seattle, Detroit, Saint Louis, Pittsburgh, San Diego, Oregon and the Boston Pops.

Hackman conducts and curates BSO Fusion with the Baltimore Symphony. Since 2010 he has served as Creative Director and Conductor for the Indianapolis Symphony’s Uncharted Series, a successful young-audience concert experience.

In 2024, Hackman contributed to the Academy Awards, the Democratic National Convention, and Jimmy Carter’s 100th Birthday Celebration. He also collaborated with Charlie Puth, The War and Treaty, and Rickey Minor on the Emmy Awards “In Memoriam” segment.

Hackman has worked with top pop artists, adding classical depth to their music. He’s collaborated with Charlie Puth, Steve Lacy, and Doja Cat, arranging and conducting orchestral versions of their songs for live performances. Notably, he reimagined Lacy’s music for a sold-out show at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, streamed on Amazon Prime. In 2019, Hackman worked with Kanye West and the Sunday Service Choir on the opera Mary, which was performed at Art Basel, Laskey Mesa, and Lincoln Center.
