Amy Lam Appointed Interim Executive Director of the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival
Opus 3 Artists and Lamling Group are pleased to share news from the Board of Trustees of the Santa Fe Chamber Music Festival, who have appointed Amy Lam as the Interim Executive Director of the Festival. She fills the post previously held by David Kitto until his recent resignation necessitated by health issues related to Santa Fe’s high altitude. Lam will begin her new position on June 24 and serve in this role during the Festival’s 2024 season, which is its 51st.
A nonprofit professional with more than three decades of proven success in presenting and producing, Lam is a sought-after leader in the arts field. As the Founding Principal of Lamling Group, Lam consults with a wide range of cultural institutions as well as artist clients. From 2021 to 2023, Lam was Vice President and Executive Director of Tisch Music at the 92nd Street Y in New York City where she was responsible for guiding the artistic and strategic direction of one of the key program centers of the iconic cultural institution. Prior to that, Lam was, for two decades, the Artistic Director and Senior Vice President of the renowned multi-disciplinary arts presenter Celebrity Series of Boston. She holds her BA in Music from The Chinese University of Hong Kong and an MBA in Arts Administration from Binghamton University School of Management.
The Board of Trustees’ Search Committee is also conducting a nationwide search for a permanent Executive Director to replace Kitto and hopes to name the successful candidate shortly. In the meantime, Board President Ralph Craviso stated that “The Festival’s 2024 season will once again present a rich array of world-class chamber music under the inspired leadership of our Artistic Director, Marc Neikrug, and feature some of the most esteemed musicians from around the globe. This promises to be one of our most spectacular seasons yet.”
