Opus 3 Artists Managing Director Robert Berretta and Lamling Group Principal Amy Lam have announced the launch of a new creative partnership that will provide consulting services to a wide range of performing arts presenters across the globe, as well as to Opus 3’s artist clients.
This new alliance combines Opus 3 Artists’ decades of expertise in artist management and widespread network of presenting partners with Amy Lam and her team’s extensive experience in artistic curation, production, and strategic planning in the cultural and nonprofit sector.
Together, the collaborative partnership aims to break down the traditional silos within the arts ecosystem and create a new business model and infrastructure with synergies that allow managers, agents, presenters, and artists to work together in a more efficient and symbiotic way.
With an eye toward the field’s long-term growth, the alliance hopes to increase presenting and commissioning opportunities by allowing for artists to create and collaborate broadly, while providing the valuable curatorial resource and planning expertise to presenters of varying sizes and markets.
Primary areas in which this new partnership will specialize are artistic programming for arts centers or presentation series; long-range artistic and business planning; project and production management, including commissioning and interdisciplinary program support; and advising and coaching emerging artistic and executive leaders in the field.
While Opus 3 Artists and Lamling Group will continue to operate independently with their own rosters and projects, this creative alliance will allow for added artistic curation and production opportunities, as well as programmatic synergies between the two entities and their clients.
Lamling Group is a performing arts consultancy founded and led by veteran arts presenter Amy Lam, most recently of 92nd Street Y, New York and who spent more than 25 years leading artistic planning and administration at Celebrity Series of Boston. She specializes in supporting cultural institutions by creating customized artistic and business solutions that are mission based and financially sustainable.
