Les Violons du Roy and La Chapelle de Qu\u00e9bec are pleased to announce that the orchestra and choir will each be touring the United States in 2020. They will be back at some of the U.S.\u2019s premier stages, including Carnegie Hall in New York City and the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles. Les Violons du Roy are also proud to announce that the orchestra will be making its Philadelphia d\u00e9but at the Zellerbach Theatre on April 25, 2020.<\/p>\n
Under the direction of Les Violons du Roy music director Jonathan Cohen, the orchestra will pursue its collaboration initiated last year with mandolinist Avi Avital. Together with the star soloist they will present a program of works by Bach and Vivaldi in seven U.S. cities. This tour will take the musicians westward across the U.S. from April 21 to May 3, 2020.<\/p>\n
In March 2020, Bernard Labadie, founding conductor and music director of La Chapelle de Qu\u00e9bec, will conduct the choir in three concerts in the United States. Together with the Orchestra of St. Luke\u2019s, of which Labadie is the principal conductor, the choir will perform Beethoven\u2019s Mass in C Major at New York\u2019s Carnegie Hall. The choir will then join the Los Angeles Philharmonic to give two performances of the Faur\u00e9 and Durufl\u00e9 requiems at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Los Angeles.<\/p>\n
