Meyer is a multiple GRAMMY and Emmy Award-winning double bassist, composer, and educator, best known as a founding member of the string trio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.opus3artists.com\/artists\/time-for-three\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Time for Three<\/a> and as the Founder\/Artistic Director of Honeywell Arts Academy.<\/p>\n<p>With Time for Three, Meyer has performed at prestigious venues and festivals, collaborated with acclaimed orchestras worldwide, and recorded GRAMMY-winning concertos by Kevin Puts and Jennifer Higdon. He also co-produced tracks for Summer Walker\u2019s chart-topping R&amp;B album <em>Still Over It<\/em> and composed the score for Robin Wright\u2019s film <em>LAND<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>A celebrated soloist, the Curtis grad has performed with the double bass section of The Philadelphia Orchestra and in 2021 he composed his first concerto for double bass and orchestra entitled<em> Concerto for My Family<\/em>. It is his homage to the people who lifted him up all along the way. Composer Paul Frucht has since created an additional concerto for Ranaan entitled<em> In Tseyt<\/em> (Yiddush for &#8220;In Time&#8221;), a celebration of Judaism which he premiered in Fall 2024. Meyer\u2019s goal with both works is to bring communities together, enriching lives through the safe space of music while keeping the dialogue flowing.<\/p>\n<p>At the the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honeywellartsacademy.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Honeywell Arts Academy<\/a>, he empowers emerging artists, offering full scholarships through a unique summer music institute.
