Opus 3 is thrilled to offer an exciting new theatrical experience to US presenters. Le Patin Libre is a groundbreaking ice skating company that blends incredible athleticism with the expressivity and energy of contemporary dance. Since its founding in 2005, the company has redefined figure skating with its unique “gliding” style, moving away from traditional costumes and technical tricks to emphasize free expression and stunning choreography.
The company will be touring two evening-length productions in 2026-2027. Murmuration is a “gliding ballet on ice” inspired by the mesmerizing movement of bird flocks. Through subtle shifts and synchronized motion, the skaters create a breathtaking display of collective harmony. Le Patin Libre is also developing Melt, a new roller skate show addressing climate change, blending stunning visuals with a powerful story about nature and humanity’s evolving relationship with it. All of the company’s works feature original music and offer engaging experiences for audiences of all ages.
