Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir Returns to North America in 2026
Opus 3 Artists is pleased to announce the February 2026 tour of the esteemed Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir in a program that celebrates famed Estonian composer Arvo Pärt’s indelible mark on choral singing and classical music. The program will feature his works alongside other ethereal melodies that can only be brought to life by the choir’s resplendent sound. The choir members are well-versed in interpreting the spiritual depth and minimalist aesthetic that characterize Pärt’s music and have a long history of collaboration with Arvo Pärt himself, often premiering and performing his works under his direction or with his guidance.
The Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir (EPCC) is one of the best-known Estonian music ensembles in the world. Led by Artistic Director, Chief Conductor and founder Tõnu Kaljuste, the choir is renowned for their transcendent Gregorian chant and baroque repertoire. The choir’s recordings have won two GRAMMY-Awards for Best Choral Performance, for the album Arvo Pärt. Da Pacem with conductor Paul Hillier (Harmonia Mundi, 2007) and Arvo Pärt. Adam’s Lament with conductor Tõnu Kaljuste (ECM, 2014). The EPCC has 16 GRAMMY nominations, a Gramophone Award, Diapason d’Or, Preis der Deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and a Prix Caecilia. In 2020 BBC Music Magazine has named the EPCC one of the 10 best choirs in the world.
