Opus 3 Artists and Giants Are Small present Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood the Live Concert Experience


Opus 3 Artists is thrilled to partner with Giants Are Small to present an electrifying live symphonic adventure, Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood.  Beginning in summer 2017, orchestras across North America will be able to play the much cherished tale of Peter and the Wolf with a local celebrity narrator and sumptuous new animations taken from the ground-breaking app of the same name. This animated wonderland looks stunning on large screens projected above the orchestra as they perform Prokofiev's classic, and is sure to introduce a new generation of fans to the wonder of orchestral music.  

Giants Are Small are known for their innovative live animation presentations of Le Grand Macabre, The Cunning Little Vixen, and Petrushka with the New York Philharmonic and other collaborators. The animation leads users through a sculpted, painted, enchanting world as they immerse themselves in classical music, and try to save Hollywood from a wolf on the loose. The fresh and brilliant take on Peter and the Wolf has been recorded by Deutsche Grammophon, narrated by rock icon Alice Cooper with music by The National Youth Orchestra of Germany and conductor Alexander Shelley. The story has been retold to include not only Prokofiev's original score but also musical excerpts by Wagner, Schumann, Puccini and many more.

Set in modern-day Los Angeles, Peter and the Wolf in Hollywood begins with the wolf’s escape from the local zoo. To capture the wolf, Peter must build a robot, maneuver his way through a thrilling helicopter chase, and manage some hilarious encounters with several adorably quirky animals.
