Opus 3 Artists is proud to welcome MAREK JANOWSKI  to our distinguished conductor roster for representation in North America.  
Renowned as one of the great orchestra builders of our time, Maestro Janowski is a master of German repertoire which lies at the foundation of today's greatest orchestras. He is recognized throughout the world for his unparalleled command and interpretation of Wagner, Strauss, Beethoven, Bruckner, Brahms, Hindemith and composers of the Second Viennese School. 
Marek Janowski recently concluded his tenure as Artistic Director of the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin (RSB). Over thirteen seasons, he transformed the orchestra into one of the world's finest ensembles, and his Wagner opera cycle with them set a new standard of performance for concertante opera. It was recorded live and released on Pentatone in 2013. Maestro Janowski boasts an extensive discography, among which many recordings have been awarded international prizes.
He will conduct Wagner’s Ring Cycle at the Bayreuth Festival in summer 2016 and 2017. Each season, he returns to the U.S. and works with orchestras such as the San Francisco Symphony, Cleveland and Philadelphia Orchestras.
Maestro Janowski's prior posts include Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique the Monte-Carlo (2000-05), Chief Conductor of the Dresdner Philharmonie (2001-03), Music Director of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Radio France (1984-2000), Principal Guest Conductor of the Deutsche Symphonie-Orchester Berlin (1997-99), and Chief Conductor of the Gürzenich-Orchester in Cologne (1986-90).
