March and April Releases

03.11.16
Benjamin Beilman, Mason Bates

This spring, check out upcoming releases from some of our artists. Benjamin Beilman's Warner Classics' debut Spectrum is available now and unites works by Schubert, Janácek, Stravinsky, and Kreisler. Beilman displays his impressive technical skills, harnessed at the Curtis Insitute where his duo partner featured on the album, pianist Yekwon Sunwoo, also attended.  This season also sees the world premiere recording of Cold Mountain by Miguel Harth-Bedoya, during the lauch of the American Opera series, which also features James Conlon's The Ghost of Versailles. San Francisco Symphony have teamed up with Michael Tilson Thomas to release Mason Bates: Works For Orchestra, on their own label, featuring Bates' three largest electro-acoustic orchestra works. The album will include the first ever recordings of "The B-Sides" and "Liquid Interfaced," which were commissioned by the symphony. Denis Kozhukhin, Pentatone's Artist of the Season, will release his highly anticipated debut album, Tchaikovsky & Grieg Piano Concertos, with the label.
